Cameron to Offer Master’s in Finance and Investment Management

In 2017, on the first Saturday of June, over 150,000 people sat for CFA exams across the globe.

That’s a record - up about 10 percent from the year before and more than double the number of candidates who took the exam in June 2007. The   results are in: 43 percent passed level I; 47 percent passed level II; and 54 percent passed level III.

PMBA Team Wins Value-Added Award for Wattles

For the last 14 years, Cameron’s PMBA program has challenged MBA student teams with a “real-world” consulting project known as the Learning Alliance (LA). The LA project pairs regional businesses with teams of PMBA students that provide comprehensive analysis of the companies’ business processes and competitive environments, as well as strategic recommendations for growth and/or profit improvement. The SBTDC is instrumental in selecting LA clients and helping to manage the relationships between the clients and the student teams.

When Stephen Harper officially retired at the end of the spring 2018 semester, his career at UNCW spanned six chancellors, four deans and more than 40 years of teaching students the finer points of business and entrepreneurship. Coincidentally, Harper, the Duke Energy/Betty Cameron Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Cameron School of Business, celebrated his 70th birthday just two months after UNCW observed the 70th anniversary of the date it first opened its doors, Sept. 4, 1947.
